product description
A Jean Paul Gaultier Homme Ss03 RTW matador rosary bijou trompe-l'œil figural metal charm/emblem long sleeve shirt! An unobtainable artisanal masterpiece by Jean Paul Gaultier! A one of a kind ivory and sky blue rayon/ artificial silk long sleeve shirt originating from Gaultier's 2003 Spring-Summer men’s Ready-to-Wear collection, featuring detachable silver tone hardware and a remarkable nomadic tribe inspired, torero styled textured embroidered pattern all over! Deriving influence from the romantic and powerful bull fighters of Spain, this matador couture shirt is nothing short of striking, and proves that there is always room for opulence and tradition in the ever-changing fashion industry. Adorned with stunning embellished details and culturally ornate design, this archival collectors item takes inspiration from the jewel-encrusted bolero jacket of a bullfighter’s costume. Always one to show off, the matador fights his horned opponent in a battle that is often described as dramatic, emotional and outdated. While many have fought to put an end to this controversial and violent sport, its traditions live on and are a true symbol of Hispanic heritage. Button up closure. Concealed placket. Moreover each figural metal emblem is different, with all charms being interchangeable. Made in Italy. Material composition: 95% rayon/ artificial silk, 5% other fibres. Measurements: Pit to pit: 21”, Shoulder/ collar seam to bottom hem: 29”/29.5”, Sleeve length: 26”. Tagged EU size 40, but could fit a variety of sizes depending on the desired fit. Pristine condition other than one loose button which isn’t visible when the item is on body, as a result of the shirt’s concealed placket. Dm for all enquiries!
