The 1858 watch is named for the year Minerva (one of the greatest Swiss watchmakers and part of Montblanc) opened its first workshop, but it actually takes its inspiration from later decades - the 1920s and 30s and the watches that Minerva made for soldiers and mountaineers during the time. The 1858 Automatic Limited Edition (one of 1858) has a bronze case with a khaki green dial and is fitted with a NATO strap.
